Bullberry Kennel – Quality American Bully breeding and comprehensive care for a balanced life

Bullberry Kennel is a Slovakia-based breeding program with an active presence in Hungary, focused on the purposeful breeding of Standard and Classic American Bullies.
Health, stability, and balanced temperament are at the core of everything we do — because true quality goes beyond appearance.

The Bull type has been part of our lives long before it became our profession. My husband worked with bull-type dogs already in the 1990s alongside his security work, training mainly American Pit Bull Terriers and Staffordshire Terriers and gaining many years of hands-on, real-world experience with them. My own journey with Bull-type dogs began in 2012, at first purely as a hobby. Very quickly I fell in love with the Bull type, and especially with the American Bully breed. Despite their powerful, muscular appearance, American Bullies are incredibly balanced, family-oriented and affectionate dogs. They are loyal companions with stable temperaments who truly love being close to their people and involved in everyday life.

By 2019 we officially began our breeding journey together. From the very beginning we believed that responsible breeding must start with knowledge, education and a clear vision. My husband focused mainly on behaviour and training, while I immersed myself in studying the genetics and breeding principles behind the American Bully breed. We also completed a small animal nutrition course to make sure we can provide balanced nutrition and the best possible care for our dogs and future puppies. And the learning never stops — there is always more to understand, refine and improve.

In 2021, a beautiful female named Mimosa joined our family. Mimi comes from Razor Edge lineage and quickly proved herself to be a wonderful dog both mentally and structurally. She completed obedience training and matured into a stable, balanced companion with a confident, loving character.

Finding the right male for her was not easy. We had very clear expectations. We were looking for a dog that was:
• health tested and genetically screened
• Standard / Classic size, not extreme type
• low COI compatibility with Mimosa
• structurally balanced and a good match for her

After a long and careful search we finally found Lenka and an exceptional litter with strong bloodlines including Briliant Bullys, Rainbow Bullys, Eminent's Boss, and also Gottyline's, Bully Chronicle influences. They were well structured, healthy and beautifully balanced dogs that matched our vision of the ideal American Bully.

While we truly appreciate all varieties of the American Bully breed, our personal vision has always been to focus on the balanced middle ground — well-structured, athletic dogs within the Standard / Classic range. Another important factor was that the genetics would not overlap with Mimosa's, but instead complement her and strengthen what we value most.

Eventually the moment came. We went to visit Lenka together with Mimi… and returned home with Pablo. That's when our real journey together began.

From the beginning it was very important to us that our dogs would not live in traditional kennel rows or cages, but as part of our family. They share our everyday life, our home, and our attention. We truly believe that love, stability and close human connection are essential parts of raising balanced, confident dogs.

After completing all the necessary health screenings, veterinary examinations and genetic testing, all results came back excellent. Then in 2025 our first litter was born. Healthy puppies, wonderful personalities, and happy new owners made it a truly special milestone for us. We closed the year with healthy dogs and happy families.

Our goal is not quantity — but quality. That is why we take our time before each planned breeding. We want every litter to come into the world under the best possible circumstances, with thoughtful pairings and careful preparation.

Now we can finally dedicate ourselves 100% to what has always been our passion. And we are very much looking forward to welcoming the next Bullberry litter in 2026.
